The Why Files: The Science Behind the Newshttp://whyfiles.news.wisc.edu/
The Why Files, a project of the National Institute
for Science Education, is an electronic exploration of the science
behind the news. Twice a month, this attractive and easily navigated
site provides features on the science (and math, engineering, and
technology) of everyday life. The boundaries are broad -- from outer
space to cellular biology, from dinosaurs and dragon lizards to the
statistics of political polling. A fun tool for teachers, students,
and anybody else interested in learning more about important and
fascinating scientific subjects not often closely examined by the
media.
